Islamabad Police has banned all after market licence plates or number plates as we call them in Pakistan.
There is nothing wrong with the order as all vehicles must carry official licence plates issued by the relevant Excise and Taxation Office, but the problem is that the official licence plates metal is so low quality that it gets loads of rust on the backside that start spreading to car's paintwork and body.
Plus these licence plates' paint and markings start chipping and fading rapidly giving a shabby look. Authorities must follow international standards in licence plate making so that the plates are able to withstand weather and environmental factors and they should look well so that everyone prefer them.
