Warning: Bad road ahead

Let's document the roads which one should avoid at all costs. Kindly mention the roads on which you would never want yourself and others to travel.

1. The worst road experience for me is from Ammar Chowk to Car Chowk in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

It is a 3.3 kilometers long pot holed narrow street where overtaking is impossible. There are shops of all sorts on both sides of the street. Though it is a short route from Bahria Town, Media Town, Police Foundation and PWD Society to Chaklala Scheme 3 shopping center, Islamabad International Air Port, Rawal Road etc., it is a driver's nightmare. Very bad road and crude bumps will force you to constantly hunt for gears (if not driving an automatic) and mostly you will cover this distance in 30 minutes in first gear. You can take longer route via GT road. I wish the authorities could rebuild and widen this vital road. I am seeing this road since September 2010 and it is deteriorating rapidly. I wonder where authorities are spending the taxes collected from business and residences in the area?

2. The main Pak PWD Society Road which links Police Foundation, Media Town and Bahria Town with Islamabad Expressway is also full of bad patches and pot holes. This 3-Km road is also a pain to travel.

There is lot construction activity on both sides of the road and unplanned commercial zoning has seen mushroom growth of shopping centers with no parking space and as a result traffic flow is hindered. Lot of find dust also on the road packed with heavy traffic and machines moving.

I have to use this road to access Islamabad Expressway everyday for work. Since it is a non-municipal area, the cooperative societies should pool money and re-carpet the road which despite being in very bad shapes has lots of annoying road bumps.
