Mr President, what are you waiting for?

Mr President please do this nation a big favour and go home now. What are you waiting for? You have already wrecked this country for your own self benefit. First you put the country in grave danger by undertaking the Kargil adventure in 1999 and then to save your own skin and your cohorts, you overthrew an elected government and destroyed democratic institutions the same year.

You jailed and later sent into exile the same prime minister who appointed you the chief of army staff by superseding your seniors. You accepted that, but when prime minister Nawaz Sharif, sacked you, you refused to go home and once again put the country into grave danger by halting the democratic system.

Mr Pervez Musharraf, you ruled this country illegally for more than eight years with the help of most corrupt figures. You let people like Shaukat Aziz, loot and plunder this country. The food and electricity shortages are your gifts to nation.

You have been selling innocent Pakistani men and women to Americans in the name of Al-Qaeda. Despite spending billions of dollars, you have not been able to contain militancy and have given Pakistan the curse of suicide bombings.

Mr Musharraf, you subverted the constitution of Pakistan twice just to save your job. You used the institution of military as your personal fiefdom. You have made the nuclear programme so controversial that Americans and Jewish lobby is thinking about capturing our nuclear assets. You have been so ruthless in saving your job, that you sacked and detained judges and their families for months inside their homes.

With what face you claim to be champion of freedom of media. You shut down television channels who had independent and unbiased policy. You even forced television media owners to put off screen news anchors and hosts of political talk shows, because they spoke about democracy and the illegality of your actions.

Now when the impeachment in looming over your head, you are again putting the country into grave danger of instability, by not stepping down. The ruling coalition parties which represent the wishes of majority of Pakistanis, have expressed no confidence on you and it is better for you and the country that you resign and retire peacefully now.

Every devil his day, and you day is there Mr President. Please leave us alone, if you have any semblance of humanity.

Democracy in Pakistan means rule of landlords and of the same corrupt political leaders, who are capable of managing nothing, let alone, run the business of a nuclear country. Though Musharraf was an unconstitutionally elected leader, yet his term of 8 years was the most prosperous for Pakistan.

We have the same old landlords and corrupt leader back in power now, and we are already beginning to see the effects of democracy, with US and Nato attacking within Pakistan. No govt can stand pressure from America. At least Musharraf was leading the action through our own forces and had been trying for truces all along. All Higher Education projects have been shelved by the Democratic govt, enjoying the majority support of the common man.

...all hail democracy-down with the military dictator who brought prosperity and education to the common man.
