"Itwar Bazaar" or Sunday market emerged as an open air market for vegetables, fruits and poultry in Islamabad to cater to low income groups living in Islamabad. The Sunday mart was expanded to three days of week i.e. Friday, Sunday and Tuesday at three different parts of Islamabad.

The Sunday market at G-9 sector gained popularity over G-6 and I-9 open house markets due to its easy accessibility and variety of goods, but late last year it was moved because a new highway was to be constructed at its place.
The new market is surprisingly much better than the old one in terms of its modern design and space. It is now open for shoppers at H-9 sector, just 200 yards away from its previous site.
One can find all items of daily use at this market at a bargain price, lesser than demanded by shopkeepers at regular markets.
The Capital Development Authority has really done an impressive job. The various sections of the market are well designed with neat and clean tarmacs and easy guiding to navigate through.
Here are some glimpses.
