Photo feature: Islamabad

Islamabad, the beautiful, as it is popularly called,  is the federal capital of Pakistan. The city started building in the mid 1960s when the government decided to move the capital from southern port city of Karachi for strategic reasons.

A breathtaking view of Islamabad

Islamabad is known for its greenery and surrounding hills. It was a calm and sleepy city until five years ago. But events after 9/11 in the United States and liberal car financing by banks have increased traffic congestion and raised the property and real estate prices to a maddening level. But still there is lot to relish in the small multi-culture city.

These are the latest photos from my trip to hills in Islamabad. You can find monkeys and lot of green wild forest and enjoy spectacular view of the Pakistani capital.
